Colour Schemes
A bus’s colour scheme is generally refered to as a bus’s livery. Each generation of bus has specific features and colours, giving us interesting elements of visual history. Many Adelaidean liveries consist of striking coloured panels on the front end of the bus with plain white rears. As you can observe, some more unique designs encapsulate the bus from front to rear.
Below are links to different eras of Adelaide’s bus livery history. Each page contains an era of private or Government run buses, and showcases all the elements that make up each distinctive livery. Diagrams and photos are also included.
