Our youngest O-Bahn bus
Purchased from the SA Government after finishing rail substitution duties, R539 was used as a storage bus for many years. In 2020, a change of ownership has re-booted 539’s hopes for preservation, and it now patiently awaits.

#1540 is Painted in its original Busway Green & Blue Livery, a paint scheme synonymous to these buses.

It crossed the Nullarbor twice
After retirement from Adelaide Metro work, 1549 was purchased by a private buyer in Perth for preservation. Fast forward to 2019, a new buyer from Adelaide purchased it, and it made its second trip across the Nullarbor.
